I bought a few a Matey Anchors and his hair is tied with a clear rubber band in box and when you remove it the paint on his hair peels it happened 4x. Did anyone have this happen to them? I am so upset.

If this happened on dolls you actually bought, I would certainly contact MGA's Customer Service department and let them know. They have been very helpful to us in the past. Hi they said they would send another one to me once I sent a picture with a # written on dolls face. I don't really want to write on it but maybe I will. Then he said to email them a picture just showing the defect. So I guess I will do that. Thanks for the #.

(Which is why we still own all of our "defective" dolls ... because Banana wouldn't dream of defacing them. lol) But yeah, that is the way to get a new one, if you want to go that route.

Wow, I am glad someone else feels the same- I told the guy that it would be sad to write on the doll and I would be nervous to write on it and then not get a proper replacement or the replacement may have an even worse problem LOL He said he understood.

Hopefully, Ive done the photo correctly. This is a Spot Splatter Splash I recieved in an eBay lot.It looks to me like a first edition, only with pink spots instead of blue..Is this a quality control issue, or technically a variant?

Thanks for answering and helping me figure this out.I knew something was off..Apparently, some stock photos of the treehouse playset show her with the standard blue splatter, adding to my confusion.I own the treehouse, but purchased it loose and it came with an original Spot.Im glad I have the right doll for the playset now..I always thought it was odd the colors of her brush from the set didn't match the splatter..Happy Holidays!!

The Tinies are presenting a problem for me. The 10 packs all have at least 4 dolls that are totally messed up.
At the same time though this has been a problem for "little toy packs" forever, so....Here's to hoping!

I finally found the new minis and sister sets in my area. Luckily, thanks to this thread, I looked closely at each one instead of just throwing them in my cart. The sister sets were terrible, paint all over the place and smudgy. The minis were a bit better but still had issues. I could only get one of the sister sets due to their condition and I had to sort through the individual minis to find acceptable dolls. I hope this isn't the case for everyone. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted, this is a really good thing to be aware of!

Does anyone feel like the quality control has been going downhill especially recently when it comes to the tinies and especially the minis? I just wanted to get some opinions. I've been struggling to find them without paint smears, or scrapes among other issues. Thanks!!

Hmm, I have just bought a bunch of the new mini's and mini sister dolls and have not seen any problems. Most were purchased at TRU, but several were at Target. It seems like some of the flaws were because they were packaged when they were still wet paint wise. What a shame!

it's a shame how common painting flaws and such are. it bothers me that pretty much all my large dolls have paint smudges or badly painted bows or... whatever else. Peanut in particular, she's got one right by her one eye.(the eyelashes, more specifically) I love her even with that flaw, but it'd be way nicer if she didn't have it. I got a tiny that actually has like, a tilted head. it bothers me way more than it should... and then my Jelly Wiggle Jiggle tiny has the face color paint on her shoes... kind of a bummer, she's a fave of mine.

I understand where you're coming from. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I kind of expect something to be "perfect" especially if I'm paying for it. It's annoying when something so simple isn't fixed or at the very least isn't notice before going out.
