Totally not Lala related, but my oldest has her 1st loose tooth, and a lot of my friends haven't had this happen yet, so hoping someone on here can help me out! What is the going rate for the tooth fairy today?

I usually got $1 or $5, depending on how generous my grandma felt like being at the time. I personally can't imagine giving more than a dollar. Or maybe a small bag of chocolate coins.

I've been wondering the same thing, as we've got our first loose tooth too. I got $1 20 years ago, so I would think inflation would have set in by now. My husband thinks $5 is too much. You only loose so many teeth and I would like to see my daughter be able to get something other than candy (seeing as I would like her to take care of her new tooth)

We didn't do the tooth fairy gig growing up... My dad had us all convinced that if you put the tooth in salt water and sit it in the windowsill at night, the moon would turn it into coins. I used to sit up watching it for a change until I ended up falling asleep and when I woke up, BAM! COINS! It was REALLY cool as a kid.
