I started making a replacement scarf for one I wore out. It's a sushi scarf and really cute, so I thought I'd make one for a gift also. Well, each scarf has 26 round pieces and each round piece has 4 colors. So we're talking 8 ends on each of the 26 pieces to weave in. And that's JUST the round pieces! There's also fish and shrimp pieces to add and sew together..........
WHY did I do this?

I have tried crocheting, and I'm awful. My grandma is a master though. She is actually crocheting a lala for xmas, I will post a photo when she is done. She has made both my kids giant cross stitched care bear blankets and both times she said she would never again. I think the outcome is worth all the effort.

I do crochet. For years I couldn't get the hang of it, and one day during a holiday at my MIL's it just clicked. I only make dolls and doll clothes in crochet, only exception is a ripple throw I started years ago and it will surely take me years still to finish.

The ripple stitch is not my favorite. I made a Nyan Cat scarf with it and that was enough for me.
