I think lots of girls go through this or similar experiences. My best advice is to enjoy your collection and never change who you are for anyone. Being "you" is much more important than what others may say or think. You can choose not to talk to your friends about your collection or rub it in their faces that even grown women AND men are collecting the LaLaLoopsy dolls. LOL! How you handle it is up to you, but for the most part, I would just ignore them. Good luck and dolly hugs!

People that make fun of others are jealous. Don't let people like that upset you!!!! It's not worth the tears on someone that doesn't matter! I am 36 y/o w/ two little girls (4 & 1 1/2) and we collect lala's together. They are for my girls to play with, my intention is not to "keep them pristine" but for my girls to enjoy them. Enjoy what you do in life, live life to its fullest and ignore all the mean people!

I've always collected some kind of toy, and I bet some of the kids teasing you have something they are hanging on to too. You have lots of time to be grown up so enjoy your dolls, and save them bc someday when you have kids you might want to pass them down.

I'm 19, and I remember being that age as a doll collector. It's tough, yes, but you'll make it. Appreciate all you have. I suggest you don't tell anyone except your bestest friends. Boys are real big bullies to girls who like dolls. I was teased, yes, but at the end of the day I could come home and hug some dollies. Lalas weren't around when I was 13, so your lucky ;D I was in my Strawberry Shortcake ultimate obsession at that age.

Never ever let anyone tell you that you are less than perfect just because you have a passion for doll art. It is an art just as any other, but unfortunately so many dont see it this way. I have loved dolls all of my life and that will never change even though I am 29+ (not telling...haha) My sister laughed when I first told her I loved the Lalaloopsy dolls and wanted to start a collection, she actually said "thats what Gabby (my great niece) likes and she`s 2"! Oh well I told her, I will always have a love for dolls and if they catch my eye and make me smile I couldnt care less if they are considered a 'childs toy' by some. We have enough sorrow in this world and all need a little happy so if they make you smile, keep on collecting. Have fun, and just be you, you were created perfect just as you are.

It's so great that you know who you are and are proud of it. Never change for anyone else! On another note, if you do find yourself getting tired of your dollies, I recommend boxing them up and saving them. You never know how you'll feel in the future. Many people go through non-collecting phases, especially around your age, but later in life realize they'd love to take it up again. :3 I know I did, but now I'm in college with an army of new dollies to love and enjoy! I saw that one doll on the shelf I just had to have and that was that. Now I can't imagine not having them.
