Really pretty, same style as monster high, I don't really like all the removable limbs... But my DD will probably want them.

It is like Monster High meets My Scene.

I'm cautiously excited about these dolls. I always liked some of the Monster High stuff but didn't appreciate the whole "monster" theme. A Fairy Tale theme is right up my alley! I'd like to see more from this line and the show before I give my daughters the okay, but it would be nice to give them an alternative to Monster High. Ever After High also has a website here and a YouTube channel here. The YouTube channel has several videos introducing the characters. My favorites so far are Raven Queen and Madeline Hatter.

Well, I went from cautiously excited to a fangirl. :} I now have all four dolls and have posted reviews of Maddie and Raven on my blog, in case anyone's interested. Raven's reviewMaddie's reviewWhile I wish they'd used a bit more variety on the facial expressions and made the skirts a little longer, overall I'm loving these dolls. The next ones to be released are supposedly Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman in a double pack.

We like their stocks, very cute dresses. But the faces are too wide and the expressions too similar. Perhaps too My Scene as you say above..! I still prefer MH at least they were something new when they were released. Even though they came out with too many versions of the same girl making it difficult for a collector to keep track of all of them!! I still appreciate separate outfits, vintage Barbie style.

I love Ever After High! They are just awesome. My favourite characters are Briar Beauty and Cedar Wood, Madeline Hatter comes very close to them. I have quite a lot. You can see some photos on my Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/2014fulliem/

Not sure who else is collecting these besides me but Kitty Cheshire has been found in Australia, her basic doll and she has the new box which is way different than the other basic dolls. I have been collecting only the basics and keeping them in package. I like how nice they look. Now Mattel throws a wrench into my collecting and I know they will probably re-release the basics in the newer boxes. I am so unhappy right now with this line!

Yeah, that stinks ... those EAH boxes are such pretty collectibles. Doesn't seem right to shift gears now.

I think they changed it because they wanted both the doll and the book spine with the character art to be visible on the shelf. If I did display them in the box think I would actually like the new boxes better.

Yeah I really like the new boxes. I think Ever After High is stepping up it's quality compared to Monster High.
