There is just no way around this, at some point we will probably end up selling these. I recently got rid of my Monster High, I just wasn't feeling the line anymore. Before that I collected Barbie, My Scene and Bratz all of which I ended up selling. I know the day will come when I grow tired of Lalaloopsy too and will have to part with them. I guess seeing people on fb that have been collecting since the very beginning that have a lot of dolls are now selling them got me thinking about this.
What do you guys think?

We were in that boat about a year ago. Both my girls decided they weren't interested in playing with the big Lalas anymore. We kept about half of our minis and sold the big & little lalas. They are interested in the Girls line right now, but we only have 5 of them for that very reason, I'm not going to buy all these dolls for them to say a year later they aren't interested. I love this line, and we still play with the lalas that we have, we just don't have every doll like we used to. It's hard because you spend all that time and money hunting them down. I still love being on this forum looking at all the new stuff coming out and what everyone else gets and chatting lalas.

I think more people definitely ARE selling them, based on how many Lalaloopsy dolls we now see when we visit the flea markets and thrift stores. It used to be you rarely saw them second-hand, now they are everywhere. As for whether we will ever sell ours ... Banana says no. Although we very often donate and/or sell dolls and toys she stops playing with, for her Lalaloopsy large dolls, she feels strongly that she wants to hold onto her collection and pass it on to her own kids someday. It's the only doll she's ever been with "from the beginning" and it's special to her. (She also wants to do the same with her Bratz, although that's not a complete collection or anything.)

I used to be a collector where I tried to get everything, and not just the things I like, so now I've just decided to sell the lalas I never cared that much for and keep the rest. I can see myself selling more, but there's always going to be a bunch I could never let go. And I also think selling them isn't worth it all that much because they don't have as nearly as large a market as dolls such as Monster High.
