Don't get me wrong, I love everything LaLaLoopsy and I'm excited about all the new releases, but.........
I understand that MGA is riding the LaLaLoopsy craze for all its worth and will for as long as possible. I just do not understand why they have to release so many new things all at once.
Don't they realize that if they release a few new items at a time that they can stretch this out for a much longer amount of time and at the same time ensure the collectors will follow and continue to buy, buy buy?
At this rate, lots of people will become very frustrated and give up on this line. If they see no easy way to collect or afford everything they want, they will stop buying.
This will only prove to make second-market sellers rich and the rest of us very unhappy. I don't want this to stop being fun for us.
In MGA's quest to make their fans happy, they are going overboard, in my opinion, and I'm afraid it will backfire before too long. I'm a little worried about this.
I really hope I'm wrong.
What do the rest of you think about this?

I agree w/you Bama! I am seriously thinking of only collecting the big dolls now and only buying the Treehouse playset...I am not buying those funky haired dolls...Maybe MGAE should've concentrated on making enough BIG dolls to go around and get them in stores so the collectors/parents don't have to worry about not getting them! Know what I mean? I hope they take a time out now and just concentrate on what's most important...I am not going to be able to get everyhing LLL...I don't have enough money for that, with all this stuff coming out!

Just a correction Bama, Lalaloopsy said on their FB page that the amazon release dates were not correct. Sorry 'bout that.

I think it's a tactic to keep current and new fans from becoming distracted by other toy lines. I'm not sure if they're taking into account how much money they may lose in the end, though. I think they're more focused on a fanbase and getting the line 'out there'. With the way warehouses are handling distribution, I don't think we'll see much of the new products until around August/September when the fall lines usually appear and then they'll become scarce during the holiday season and reappear during the Summer. I'm not sure if it would work but having all those releases back to back would ensure a steady stream of new products arriving. And with the original 8 being rereleased? They're looking for a larger fanbase.

It is overwhelming...but starting with September I have birthdays to shop for each month all the way through November and then of course there comes Christmas after that. I am glad they decided to make so many new items, will make it easier for me to shop for my girls this year.

I must admit I don't think I'll be getting all the big ones anymore. The chaces of me getting Sahara are slim anyhow so I'm just going to get the ones I like. That maybe all of them but I doubt it.
