Wardah Yes, at this store they only had the four 4-packs and the two 8-packs that I've shown. Could be they didn't get them all if there is supposed to be more? If you pause the first video 3 minutes in it shows a Banana Split Ice Cream pack and the Special Edition Confetti Surprise Cupcake. Maybe someone was there before you and snatched them up. Yep, I see what you mean ... those two packs were definitely not there, so either they hadn't been put out or someone had already snagged them.

It's either 6 to a case and 2 are missing or its 4 random ones to a case.

Here's a closer look at the checklist... Do you know if the blind packs have some kind of cheat codes?

I'm sorry I don't have a lot of info on this yet, from having opened a bunch of them or anything, but it appears they probably do. Note the four digit number under the rim that's different in the two packages we have here:

Using your pictures and the video to fill out the rest, I have discovered there are several Nums besides the special edition ones that probably only appear in the blind packs.
104 108 112 114 116 118 119 120 124 127 131 133 139 144 145
So far the only one in the blind pack opening video that wasn't one of these was 103. That brings things up to 16. I wonder if that is the total since there are 8 lip gloss Noms even tho there doesn't seem to be a pattern of which Nom goes with which Num. Maybe 2 numbers are for the Nom and 2 are for the Num?
Edit: I think the second 2 numbers might correspond to the Nom since those are numbers that belong to lip gloss Noms. I wonder if the first 2 actually correspond to the Num with the same number (which would mean there are more than 16 possible Nums since not one of those 2 numbers is on my list) or not.

Hey, is it possible the Banana Split Ice Cream & the Confetti Surprise Cupcake Special Edition 4-packs haven't come out yet? And/or they'll be store exclusives somewhere other than TRU? Just went back to the first video, very beginning where she's showing the whole product line, and I noticed she doesn't have them displayed either. Just the same ones I found. Good job figuring out what's where with the character numbering, Wardah As far as the 4-digit numbering for the blind packs... still not too sure about that. I'll let you know if I can add any new insights to what you've found out in a little bit here...

Then again maybe it is 4 in a box and which 4 sets it is is random with the Special one being less common. I guess time will tell. As for the codes, the only way to know if they line up that perfectly would be to open them and I have a feeling you are planning on saving them for some reason.

Wardah Okay, they've been opened, and your system does seem to be right! The first one marked 4262, we got 142 Num and 162 Nom. And the second one marked 2665, we got 126 Num and 165 Nom. (We noticed 126 Num also comes in the Neopolitan 4-pack, so it is possible to get duplicates of the ones from the packs in your blind packs.)

It will be much easier to avoid unintentional dupes.

New Num Noms Are Scent-Sationally Collectible Scented, Food Themed Num Noms Are Now Available Exclusively At Toys"R"Us StoresVAN NUYS, Calif., Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MGA Entertainment (www.mgae.com), the world's largest private toy company, today announced that its new collectible toy line Num Noms is now available exclusively at Toys"R"Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com. These miniature characters bring food to life with their delicious scents. Just in time for the holidays, Num Noms also make perfect stocking stuffers. Every Num and Nom character is full of surprises. Nums are the outer, soft, squishy, hollow characters that nest on top of Noms. Noms are the inner, hard-shelled characters that are either motorized to scoot around, or filled with flavored lip gloss. They are each uniquely scented, and can be mixed and matched to create more than 1000 customized scent fusions, such as Raspberry Cream-Banana Go-Go and Peachy Choco Gloss. Nums can be piled high for even wackier combinations. They can also be raced against each other, or traded with friends. "Kids have always loved playing around with scents and collecting cute little toys," said Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment. "Num Noms present a whole new way for kids to play and collect -- by scent. Characters can be mixed and matched to make endless surprising scent combinations, and with multiple ways to play, the fun never ends!" The Num Noms starter pack (MSRP $9.99) includes 3 Nums, 1 motorized Nom, a spoon and cupcake tin or ice cream cone. A deluxe pack (MSRP $19.99) includes 6 Nums, 2 motorized Noms, a spoon and cupcake tin or ice cream cone. Num Noms mystery blind packs are available for $3.99 and include a Num and a surprise flavored Nom lip gloss. The Go-Go Café playset (MSRP $29.99), in which Num Noms can scoot around, comes with a slide, teeter-totter saucer, spinning donut wheel, teapot shower and an exclusive Num and Nom only available in the set. Series 1, which is available at Toys"R"Us stores and on Toysrus.com starting today, includes cupcake and ice cream-themed characters, as well as special edition characters. The small packs appeared at my nearby TRU and there is indeed no sign of Banana Split or Confetti Surprise. I don't understand why Banana Split is left out since it isn't supposed to be a Special Edition.

I know Series 1 is barely out but I been wondering what new things they could do for Series 2. I mean I can't think of anything else yummy that would come in a similar shape. The only thing I could think of is maybe some cat and puppy ones instead of bunnies and bears.

Banana was talking about that the other night too, and she was suggesting they could try coming up with some creative way to do a donut theme, or "candies" that could basically be done round, like the red and white peppermint, hard candies, etc. We didn't think of doing different animal molds within the same themes though ... that's a good possibility too. There's some different ways they could take it. Will be interesting to see!

Hi loly75 The Lalaloopsy Minis pet you see in the playset is not officially a mini Num, but you can certainly see the inspiration there for the Num Noms toy line! hehe There is some evidence floating around out there that Num Noms may have originally been planned to be a part of the Lalaloopsy toy line, before they decided to spin them off into their own brand.

It's funny how the first Lalaloopsy was with a Moxie Girlz doll and now the first Num Nom was with a Lalaloopsy.
