Hey ladies, obviously I can see a lot of you are pretty talented seamstresses. I have always wanted to really learn to sew I have always messed around on this used brother machine, (I have always sketched designs for years now) I am going to start taking classes but they all have people backing them so hard to find an unbiassed opinion. We have a Bernina, Husquavra, Janome & Babylock dearler here! I would like to do embroidery as well but mainly want a machine that handle denim to satin & sheer. One that I can grow into. Any suggestions? Also once I get one someones gotta show me how to make those cute jammies for loopsys! Thank you!

Hi, my mom is a professional seamstress and she loves her fancy Husqvarna, but dhe does say it doesn't take denim as well as her old Pfaff did. Yet her Husqvarna low end Husky Star model does. I have a Hello Kitty(low end) Janome and really like it. My first machine was a Brother that my mom bought me because she thought it was a good starter machine. I think all those brands are pretty good. My mom's biggest advice to people is always "don't by Singer".
I hope that helped a little.
