Another awesome doll! And he is dressed so cute too. I love the last outfit, but all of them are adorable. That's half the fun of having a "baby" to love! Dressing them in adorable clothes!

I'm pretty sure these things are really expensive. And to be honest, I think they're way creepy (sorry). I don't really understand the appeal, but it's awesome that you got the one you wanted, daisyblossom.

They're called reborns and I have one little girl. They are quite expensive, but with the realistic painting/weight they are just like real little babies.

how did you get those? where? they are really cute!! i want one! and if you dont mind me asking how much? They are all made by reborn artists. Anyone made or sold by a company may look very realistic, but isn't a real reborn. Most artists sell their babies on eBay. Prices range from $200-$1,200. They are very pricey. I found mine for $150 and I was quite lucky!

Sorry to say this Lilo but this is not a reproduced vinyl reborn baby ! These two Dante and Carlos are Ooak baby boys sculpted with clay by the Artists hand herself, they cost over $ 3000.00 and are truly Ooak there is no replica and no way for anyone to own these sculpts as there were only one made of each. These are true Ooak babies.

Thank you Bama and Julie and everyone for your lovely comments ! I bought Carlos from a Doll Dealers website and Dante I bought from a dolly friend. Both of these babies are not reborns ! They are far from that. Carlos and Dante are Ooak clay sculpts, sculpted by the Artist Laura Tuzio Ross herself ! Laura Tuzio Ross made these babies with her own hands out of clay ! They are not vinyl dolls so NO these are NOT Reborn babies. Here is a link to the Artists website...showing they are Ooak clay sculpts... www.myworldofbabies.com/worldofbabies/main.php?g2_itemId=223

I love how ridiculously realistic they look. It's like being able to hold a famous painting in baby form :3 I must say though that I'm a huge fan of your Skille She's my all-time favorite!

All of your baby boys are just perfect daisyblossom! I am curious, do you prefer the boy babies to girls, or do you have girls as well? I would love to see more of your amazing collection of these works of art.

This thread is so informative. And I'm totally in awe of how realistic all your babies are! Definitely works of art. I personally prefer more stylized dolls myself, but I can totally see the appeal of having a doll baby for someone who loves babies. You get to enjoy all the cute parts like dressing, holding and photographing them, without all the hard parts or the growing up, hehe.

Yes, that is basically it you can enjoy buying baby clothes and sometimes ( though rare times for me ) dress them up, take pictures and photograph them. I have 5 daughters myself and so I have experienced all the real stuff, the sleepless nights, feeding and diaper changes lol. And with these babies I don't have to worry about that. I am more of a display collector as I rather view and see them than having to hold them daily, since they are Ooak they are breakable as is and to me they are pieces of sculpted Art, so more for display pleasure.
