That is so exciting! I was around for the cabbage patch mania. But it's cool owning something that other people really want lol! There was a fight here in UK the other day at a Toys R Us shop , over the last lala, looks like Bea Spells alot is a fave for the Brits! And i'm getting one for christmas, got a feeling she will be my fave too :-)! Thanks mum for putting up with my craziness, lol! It's true, even a little later on in life, when your mum gets you something you really want for christmas, no matter how silly it may be to others, you treasure it forever and every time you look back on that gift it reminds you of that wonderful christmas when you first opened it.

yesterday when we had the "Big" extended family Christmas get together , almost everyone was dissing Lala dolls right in front of my 9 year old daughter! It made me angry and I couldn't help but get in thier faces and put them all in thier place. These dolls inspire GREAT immagination amoung my daughter and my 7 year old son who asked Santa for Dot Starlight. Grandma gave Dot and Crumbs to them at the party. These dolls encourage my kids to play together !!! Now it's requests for me to make pajamas and new outfits for thier dolls. These dolls are so cute and totally rock!

I thought people here might be interested in this: Currently (Feb. 18, 2011) Amazon.com lists Mittens as the #7 best-selling toy in its "Dolls" category. Mittens is followed by Jewels at #10. The next Lalaloopsy on the list is Crumbs at #48. (These are all the big dolls, not the minis.)
These are just the numbers on this specific date, and I'm sure they change from day-to-day. I just thought it was interesting.
I've looked on the Toys R Us site as well, and it shows that Mini Mittens and Mini Jewels are the two top-selling Lalas among the minis. Of the big Lalas, though, Tippy and Blossom are now the best-selling Lalas.
