Today is a super exciting day for us to celebrate! 10 years ago, MGA Entertainment announced the release of a brand new doll line called "Bitty Buttons" which (as you all know) would soon take on the name we all know and love, Lalaloopsy! In that 2010 press release, Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment, said. "Bitty Buttons was designed to teach kids that everybody is unique in their own special way. The new brand promotes the idea that old things can become new again, everything can be repurposed and nothing should ever go to waste." The release went on to say that the dolls were "designed to encourage a child's imagination and creativity" and to teach "important life lessons such as diversity, individuality and the idea that everything deserves a second life." Still pretty awesome messaging 10 years later, don't you think? Even though we haven't seen any new Lalaloopsy products in the past two years, we couldn't let this special day go by without a little celebration of the impact this brand had on the toy world as a whole, and especially on our own lives. Banana grew up with Lalaloopsy and continues to love them... and we know lots of friends who feel the same way, too! We hope you enjoy our video celebration...
