Thanks Bama! The pets were actually super easy--I used fleece so the edges don't fray and just whipstitched around the edges. The hardest part was drawing the pattern (and convincing DD that it was ok that the mouse and cat don't have tails).
I also made the pillowcase from the same fabric as the memo board--figured it would be a good match when we get the bedding. I think I'm also going to reupholster her desk chair with the same fabric when I get a chance.

These are gorgeous, I am rubbish at sewing, I could talk nicely to my Mum though great job ;o)
