Hi, I'm Loopy77. I'm in my thirties with two kids. I just saw these dolls and I got my little girl a mini dot. Now I want one too - the BIG ONE! :DDD Now it's just a question of choosing one! I'm torn between Spot, Peanut and Fluff. I'm glad I found this forum!

Hello all! Another surprise Lala convert here! I'm 22, fresh out of college and I have an on-and-off obsession fascination with miniature toys. One day I walk into a toy store and they just put up this new display of these wee little button-eyed dolls... I basically fell in LOVE with the mini lalaloopsys. Dot was the first one I got (she comes with a little moon globe and a rocket ship! HOW IS THAT NOT COOL?!), I'm now missing Ferris Wheel Peanut, Cotton, and of course the 4 new ones which are taking forever to show up here. (patienceisavirtuepatienceisavirtuepatienceisavirtue...) In the meantime I had also started buying random doll furniture for the girls, eyeing everything from Strawberry Shortcake to Sylvanian Family sets. I mostly pose them on my desk and make fun picture scenes, I should post those here sometime. Oh, and like too many Lala fans to count I was also drawn to them because of the Coraline connection. Seriously, it's amazing how timeless the appeal of quirky rag doll girls is!

Welcome axilog14! I fell for the LaLas the second I saw them. But the minis have become very special to me as well. They are so easy to store and display. I hope you will share photos with us. We all LOVE photos!

Welcome, axilog! I've found that the Sylvanian Families (or Calico Critters, as we call it here) furniture and stuff is just PERFECT for the mini lalas. We use it all the time with ours and the scale is just right. Yes, definitely post some pics for us!

Yeah, I mostly stick to the plain furniture sets but I did get the cool Toymaker's workshop pack with all the neat little arts & crafts accessories! I love that they're roughly the same scale AND that there are enough interesting themed sets out there to tide us over until MGA decide to release some official mini doll houses or something (*hint hint*)
I'm just worried that buying up all that furniture would turn me into a Sylvanian Families addict too!

Hi everyone! I'm LalaLady. I just found this forum through FB. I'm a 31 yr old writer and stay-at-home mom of 4 wild but great kids. I've been collecting dolls all my life. Started with Barbie and She-ra in the 80's and since then I've added a bunch more including Blythe, Pullip, Monster High, and most recently Lalaloopsy. I just love Lalaloopsy dolls. My husband just bought me my first large one today (Patch Treasurechest). I plan to get more and start customizing them and sewing them some outfits aswell. Its nice to know that there are other Lala lovers out there! And if anyone out there is from Austin TX, or anywhere in TX I'd love to hear from you!

Hi - I'm Jen. I am married to my college sweetheart, and have a son finishing his junior year of college, and a daughter finishing her freshman year of high school. I work full time as an IT manager. I've collected dolls and teddy bears, off and on, since my childhood. I collect Hittys, BJDs, American Girls, and others that spark an interest. I like to make cloth dolls, so when I saw the LaLaLoopsy dolls appear on the market, I was intrigued. I usually prefer dolls that have a historic leaning (like the AG historic line) or are historic reproductions (Hittys and Bleuettes), but I thought the minis would be fun toys for my Lati BJDs. I started with a few minis, but enjoyed "visiting" the LaLaLoopsy dolls at the store. Last week, I was in the doll isle, and I saw Sunny Side Up for the first time. There was something that grabbed my attention and I was captivated. I looked at her for a long time, but didn't take her with me right away. When we had finished our other shopping and were about to go to the checkout, I told my husband that I had to go back and get her - I just couldn't get her out of my mind. I guess I'm hooked - there's just something so fun, quirky and cheerful about these dolls. I am hoping to draft a few simple patterns to sew Sunny some more clothes, and will likely take her on vacation when we go to the beach this summer - she's the perfect doll for travel - no need to worry about mussed up hair or smooshed eyelashes, or wet wood! You can see my dolls here: www.flickr.com/photos/jlp2000/ I need to put up some photos of Sunny! This looks like a great group - I am really glad that I found it! Jen

Hi Jen! WELCOME! So glad to have you here! LaLa dolls are very addictive! They are such happy dolls and make me smile. I too lean towards dolls with Historical backgrounds, but when I first saw the LaLas, I knew they were something special. I have enjoyed your flickr photos and your blog for quite awhile. So I am so pleased to have you join us here.
